ABBOTT PARKI will., August 4, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Abbott (NYSE: ABT ) and WW International, Inc . (“WeightWatchers” or “WW”) today announced a strategic partnership to help people living with diabetes better understand and manage their diabetes and weight. Companies team up to integrate WeightWatchers’ diabetes-friendly weight management program with Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre portfolio® products to create a seamless mobile experience that will give people living with diabetes the information and knowledge they need to make healthy adjustments to their diet, improve their glucose levels and ultimately gain more control over their health their.

Maintaining a healthy weight and eating well is vital to living well with diabetes.3 However, for many people living with diabetes, deciding what to eat and sticking to a meal plan is the hardest part of managing diabetes.4 Through this partnership, participants can receive glucose information from Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre sensor-based technology that shows the impact of food choices, alongside empirically validated5 WeightWatchers dietary guidelines tailored for diabetes to help them achieve their healthiest living goals.

The two companies will work together to enable Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring systems and the WeightWatchers mobile app to share information so that people living with diabetes can view their glucose data alongside their diabetes-friendly plan by WeightWatchers.
